Great Win and Blog Milestone

Firstly, I wanted to thank all of you followers of my blog! Last week we hit the 5,000 page views mark which is pretty cool.  I appreciate all the support.  Secondly, our team had a great win on Saturday against Solna in Stockholm.  They were coming off 3 straight wins and we new it would be a good match but we came out and took control of the game from the start.  We ended up winning the game 75-58.  Unfortunately I tweaked my groin again before the game but was still able to have a good game.  I finished with 14 points, 7 rebounds, 1 block, 1 assist, and 2 steals.  This was the 2nd straight game I was able to lead our team in productivity.

I feel like I am starting to hit my groove now in the season.  Our team is still in 2nd place in the Southern Division.  If we keep this pace we will make the playoffs which will be the first time in my international career.  Becca put together a short highlight clip from this past game so I hope you all enjoy it!  If anyone has any questions on what Sweden is like or basketball here is like, feel free to message me anytime and I'd love to fill you in.

My First Game Back in a Month!

It is about time. The groin injury is completely healed! After a month off of playing it felt so good to be back on the court.  In our teams first game since the Christmas break, we hosted Norrkoping and beat them 90-60.  Even though I only played 15 minutes, I was selected as co-player of the game with 13 pts, 8 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 assist, and 1 block.  This was another good win for our team as we are still in 2nd place in the southern division in our league.

Becca took some nice videos from warm-ups and we have combined them with a few of my highlights from the game so you guys back home can see whats going on.  It's not the best quality but after downloading and converting files, it's the best we could do so enjoy.

Up next for us is a long trip into Stockholm on Saturday to take on the Solna Vikings.  It will be another key game for us to win and to keep our position in the league.  Whenever I can, I'll keep trying to put short highlights together for you guys.  Thanks so much for al the love and support.  Becca and I are settling in very nicely after our 2 week trip back home for the holidays.  We miss our friends and family but are happy to be back in Nassjo for the time being.
