Nassjo Victorious Again!

This far into the season, every game that we play is important to our standings. This past weekend we had a commanding team win over Hogsbo, helping to secure our position in the post season tournament in April.

With just fifteen minutes of play, I was 6/6 from the field and 3/3 from the free throw line. I finished with fifteen points, four rebounds, two assists, a steal, and a block. It was probably one of my best overall games, as I also led our team in efficiency. Included are my highlights from the game. Hope you enjoy my dunk!

We only have three games remaining in the regular season. Two of the games are home, and we only have one more away game. After these games are done, we begin the post season playoffs. The time I've spent here has already gone by so quickly that it is hard to believe that I will be back in the States in about a month and a half. I'm really trying enjoy all the days I have left here with the team, friends and Becca!

Win vs Srbija!

We got a great win on Sunday against Srbija 109-87.  This was especially good since they were one of the 2 teams that defeated us earlier in the season.  We are really playing well as a team right now and are looking strong as the regular season is coming closer to an end.

I had another good game with 13 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists. I am going to put up some of my highlights from the game so check it out :)  Our next upcoming game is on the west coast of Sweden in Gothenburg where we will take on Hogsbo.

Another fun note about today is that it is the National Semlor day here in Sweden.  So while you are all back home enjoying your paczki's, we have our semlor's which in like a baked bread roll with an almond/vanilla sugar concoction in the middle with a sort of whipped cream topping and powdered sugar on top.  It is delicious!  So until my next update after our next game, thanks for following and go Highlanders.

League Standings Update

Sorry about the lack of updates in the last couple weeks.  First, we played the team that was in 3rd place Brahe and beat them by about 30.  After that we played the first place team Malbas, and we beat them by 21!  We now hold the tie-breaker between them but they have one less loss than us so we will need some help with another team beating them.  On Saturday, we took on Hoganas who was holding the current 3rd place position, and we beat them by about 13.  I finished with 11 points and 1 rebound.  We now have a bye week, and after that have Srjbia at home who beat us earlier in the year.  It will be a really important game for us!

The team is playing really well right now.  Of course our goal is to make the playoffs, and we are well on our way to reaching that, but we will need to finish out the season strong.  I am feeling very confident in my game right now.  I'm shooting well and taking it to the basket with more confidence.

The weather here right now is horrible! I hear that it is in the 40's and 50's back home in Michigan! Well, it's been between 0-10 degrees for the past week here and it is cold!  Becca and I pretty much walk everywhere we go and while the snow hasn't been too cold here, the bitterness bites to the bone!  I'm going to try and put some pictures of our walk to the city up here so you can feel our pain :)

We are having a great time though and are so blessed to be here right now.  We miss our friends and family back home but have made some great friends here.  Last night Becca and I made some chili and stayed up real late and watched the Super Bowl.  Even though we are thousands of miles away from home, we can still enjoy the some of the wonderful things like we are home :)
